Welcome to my journey of half DIYs and half Amazon prime Birthday party themes, morning surprises and gifts coming to life! This particular summer party favor I created around my soon to be 8 year olds, “Summer Lilac Friendship” party theme arriving in our house next week. T-8 days.

So what did I use to MAKE these personalized sun/sunglasses party favors?

Sun glasses 

Paper gift bags sold out (similar here) 

Vinyl 

Exact knife

Scissors

Colored Card-stock or paper

Glue stick 

MAKING TIP: I made my first one by itself (the Birthday girls) to make sure I liked my design. Then the rest I did in assembly line with music in under 30-25 minutes.

End Of School Year Teacher Gift

 

Forgetting the vase this time - instead we're coordinating flowers to match the color of Ms. W new Stanley tumbler and I believe this might be one of the easiest last minute gifts I think I've made yet!

MAKING TIP: 

Don't be like first attempt Steph. Keep the bag open before cutting : ) I learned the hard way during my first attempt at creating the perfect fit DIY ruler gift bag, that you'll want to open it up completely before trimming the sides, otherwise you cut the sides off of your bag completely.

Whichever water tumbler brand you choose, go for it!

Kids Summer Drawing+Coloring Journal

 

Trying out a summer journal type idea by MAKING each of my girls a drawing + coloring prompts instead or writing🤸🏻‍♀️

This was something that I created with my 7 (soon to be 8 year old) in mind as she loves a good art project! Though sometime's having a short quick prompt while using her imagination to complete a drawing is her preferred style.

My youngest (4 almost 5) just loves to paint so in the effort to expand her love for art paint beyond portraits.. I plan to read each prompt for her while I enjoy my homemade cup of coffee (AM or PM) this summer. 

For the cover, they can make their own or as I did, set aside 25 minutes or so to create one for each kid around one of their favorite summer treats. My girls?! Ice cream!
