Easy Mummy Kids Craft

Here’s how to MAKE this spooky sweet Mummy
Setup your crating area (here I'm using CHEEKS brand 2.0 craft mat) as my kids can help keep things way less messy and clean as they paint, cut, glue and assemble on it.

Paint the entire paper plate and let it dry.

Brush Mod Podge onto the center of the plate.

Sprinkle glitter onto the Mod Podge area (just in center)

Cut a large + small black oval. Glue on the mummy's eyes.

Cut strips of white and pink (or desired color) card stock.

Using the end of an old eraser, dab black acrylic paint in the paint pallet and then onto the paper.

Lay the strips across the plate in criss-cross patterns.

Trim off any extra paper hanging over the edge.

Display your sparkly polka dot mummy and enjoy!

Here's all the supplies I used to MAKE this kids craft

Card-stock (white + pink + black)
Old pencil/eraser
Scissors
Glue

DIY Chic Halloween Wreathe

Halloween DIY chic decor

Make It Yours. MAKE It You!

I always struggle to find spooky yet sweet Halloween decor in color pallets that feel softer for inside my home (and outside too) with little kids.

That's why I started back in 2014 to MAKE my own - it's such a fun fall feeling to hang it up, step back and say... I made that!

Here's Everything I used:

Gold leaf's x3 (mine are sold out though this one is similar!)

Paper Bats (DIY w/card stock)

Here's a quick demo on Instagram of me MAKING it!

First Day Of School - Ruler Sign

First Day of school decoration idea diy sign

First day photos just got an upgrade — and one that's so fun to see them grow with (literally).

With my youngest headed off to 1st grade this year, I wanted to make sure we circled back to those positive affirmations as a way to remind her the importance of being ourselves; True, Kind, Brave, and Bold.

Here's how I MADE it

First day of school diy sign
Setup your area with all the supplies you’ll need.

First day of school diy sign
Paint your entire 30x10 canvas one color in 2 coats (one horizontal + one vertical for a solid finish) Let Dry.

First day of school diy sign

Mark lightly with a pencil every 2 inches down the entire left side of your canvas.

First day of school diy sign
After washing your paint pallet out, fill 5 colors of your choice for the ruler markings.

First day of school diy sign

For each color, dab and paint over your marks in sets of 3.  Just be sure to make the first mark a bit

longer for your “word” to be glued.

First day of school diy sign
Spell and space out your letters on your craft mat.

First day of school diy sign
Then paint each word according to the ruler color marks on your canvas by slowly shifting the craft mat down as you go.

First day of school diy sign
Glue gun your word to it’s matching color set on the first mark of the ruler/canvas.

Take your photo on the first day!

Foam brush + paint brush
