Last Minute DIY Sibling Halloween Costumes

Last minute Halloween costume

Sometimes the best costumes are the ones you MAKE last minute, right?! I present to you: our bow-wrapped Christmas present and Christmas tree! Because, why not? 🎄🎀

Raided the craft supplies, dug through the girls' closets, and used things we already had (except for that big bow!). And just like that—an instant holiday-themed sibling Halloween costume was MADE! Video demo right here🎨✨

Supplies to MAKE your own DIY Sibling costume

Gold star headband (add on a giant gold star to top)

DIY Pom-Pom’s (all yarn colors here)

Satin ribbon (all colors here)

Anything else you see that girl wearing for this costume can be found here!

Happy Halloween!
💜Warmly, Steph

MAKING NOTE: For the Christmas tree bows, I used attached the bows to a bow clip claw bases-this way, we can take them off and reuse the dress later. 🎀 Same goes for the pom-poms and ornaments—they’re just clipped on.
For the star headband, I attached the big star with sticky glue dots so it’s easy to remove after Halloween. 🙌 Create + reuse. Amen to that! 🙏

Halloween Paper Plate Craft x Gift

Setup your craft mat (we’re using 2.0 CHEEKS craft mats) with acrylic paint in the center pallet, glitter + glue in the clean up and a small brush in the brush/tool holders.

Have kids paint the entire paper plate (uncoated)

Once dry, glue either black card stock face details or you can get them already made as stickers. Here!

Using a paint brush, swirl together your clear glue + chunky glitter in the "clean" cup. Then brush glitter on top of your Jack-O-Lantern face and the sides.

Depending on your kids ages, either them (or you) cut a dip at the top of your Jack-O-Lantern face by measuring the width from one eye piece to the other.

Parents Part:
Flip over. Then glue gun the ribbon to the ends of the dips you just cut as well the outer sides of the Jack-O-Lantern.

Place the second paper plate piece on top of the first. MAKING your Jack-O-Lantern pumpkin bucket!

BOO your neighbors, give away as treat bags for a classroom party or make at home! Enjoy! We made a couple to give away : ) You can see more fun color options below as well the full supply list.

Craft Themed “BOO” Basket

Craft themed boo baaket

Per usual, a handful of things for my girls basket this year and I went with the theme of “create!”

It’s been a tradition to pick items for helping us celebrate October/Halloween all month long… though this time I knew making a craft/creative basket theme would allow for them to create things! Especially for their room as they’re getting older and enjoy “decorating” their own spaces.

Everything inside the girls "Craft Themed Boo Baskets?”

1 - Halloween Play Dough

2 - Wooden Pumpkins (Large, Small) DIY paint kit by wrapping up in bow w/paint brush

3 -Trick-Or-Treaters Craft Kit

4- Witch Hat Kitty Cat Pjs just because, why not?!

5- Halloween Sticker Book

For the actual ghost shaped baskets (I made them!) you can watch a video demo here. 👻

If you liked all of these ideas, items, and brands I rounded up a few more ideas here. ✨

Happy collecting + MAKING!
